Head of Human Resources (M/F)

Mission:

The role will be based at the company’s HQ in Luxembourg. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and will lead all aspects of the development and implementation of human resource strategies in support of the company’s business objectives, using expertise of various functional disciplines such as HR Operations, Recruitment, Learning & Development and Compensation & Benefits. The candidate will be expected to travel to the company’s international offices on a regular basis.

Accountabilities:

The position holder is in general accountable for the accomplishment of following tasks:

• Plan, develop and implement strategy for HR management (including recruitment and selection policy/practices, discipline, grievance, counselling, training and development, succession planning, motivation & culture development and performance management.)
• Be a trusted advisor to EXCOM, management and staff
• Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring HR metrics
• Monitor, measure and report on HR issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales
• Manage and develop direct reporting staff
• Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets
• Liaise with other functional/departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of HR, and to ensure they are fully informed of HR objectives, purposes and achievements
• Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary HR development theory and methods and provide suitable interpretation to management and staff within the organisation
• Contribute to the evaluation and development of HR strategy and performance in cooperation with the executive team
• Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care
• Maintain and develop HR policies, ensuring compliance and contribute the development of corporate HR policies.
• Attract and retain an inclusive workforce and continue to position the company as an employer of choice.
• Support management in finding the right people for their open positions by managing the recruitment process and taking an active role in the selection process.
• Support management with all employee relations, including; conducting investigations, disciplinary, grievance and appeal hearings and actions
• Support staff as an escalation point for personal disputes with colleagues and or management
• Manage all aspects related to Personnel Administration, Compensation & Benefits, Time Management, HR cost planning and the company Training Plan
• Supervise the outsourced Payroll Administrations, managing the relationship and activities with our partners and suppliers of HR and Payroll services
• Provide internal and external bodies with the required HR reports and statistics
 

Knowledge and skills:

• An experienced HR professional with 5+ years of senior HR experience in HR Operations as well as in strategic Partnering.
• HR Expertise should include experience in employee relations, recruitment, talent management, personnel and payroll administration. Preferably in an international multicultural environment
• A personality that is dynamic, positive and approachable
• Organized, structured and possesses excellent communication skills at all levels of the company
• Able to demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and maturely handle sensitive information
• Pragmatic and skilled in conflict resolution
• Good at multi-tasking and able to handle many priorities at one time
• Strong in written and verbal communication skills in English and French. Spoken German and Luxembourgish will be seen as an advantage
• Strong in understanding of the LUX labour laws, exposure to UK legislation is considered as a plus
• Knowledge of SAP HR is an advantage
