New alliance between gf-x and CHAMP cargosystems to boost airlines’ cargo sales and distribution

GFX allianceLondon – Two of the biggest IT players in the air cargo industry today announced details of an alliance which recognizes that integrated portal services are becoming a key factor for airlines’ air cargo sales and distribution strategy.

CHAMP Cargosystems, the market leader in air cargo automation, and GF-X (Global Freight Exchange), the world’s leading provider of air cargo distribution/e-booking, have reached agreement on offering a turnkey GF-X solution to CHAMP customers.

“This is a straightforward win-win situation for both of us. GF-X can expand its customer base by accessing CHAMP’s impressive client list whilst, we, in CHAMP, can offer the world’s leading distribution product as an integral element of our product suite,” said John Johnston, CEO, CHAMP Cargosystems. Johnston also revealed today that CHAMP saw a 13% rise to 14.4 million in Air Way Bills handled last year.

Companies that are already using CHAMP’s cargo automation solutions will be able to extend their sales reach seamlessly through this agreement. The cost for a CHAMP customer joining GF-X will be based on their predicted traffic volumes and the benefits they receive through GF-X.

“We believe this partnership will benefit CHAMP clients by offering them access to the most comprehensive web-based cargo e-bookings system – the GF-X Exchange. We also believe this will benefit our clients by further increasing the already unparalleled offering available on GF-X,” said Demetrios Zoppos, Managing Director of GF-X.

The two companies are also considering extending their cooperation into other product areas.
