Global Customs Gateway
The Global Customs Gateway (GCG) is a seamless interface to multiple national customs agencies.International security concerns are increasingly driving governments to tighten control and demand advance notice of import and export freight transiting their borders.
Initiatives introduced by customs authorities are placing a huge burden on cargo carrying airlines. New EU ICS (Import Control System) regulations come into effect January 2011 requiring 27 member states (plus two non-member countries) to synchronize reporting.
The Global Customs Gateway will support all EU Member state individual reporting requirements and data formats. Designed for fast implementation, the Global Customs Gateway will ensure our customers experience no interruption to their EU freight.
Overview
A single advanced cargo reporting solution for airlines, ground handlers and forwarders with a global freight presence.
With the Global Customs Gateway cargo airlines can confidently exchange information electronically with various country customs authorities regardless of format, communications protocols and processing rules.
The Global Customs Gateway recognizes existing air cargo information exchange standards such as IATA CargoIMP. This makes the interface to customs simple and immediately available without investing in new technologies.
