As you may have heard, Lufthansa Cargo is moving forward with its drive towards 100% electronic air waybill (eAWB). As of 27 March 2022, Lufthansa Cargo will no longer accept paper AWBs for any shipments on feasible lanes. This decision has been years in the making, with Lufthansa looking to move to a 100% digitalized service on all its routes from 2024.

From CHAMP’s side, we are delighted that Lufthansa’s efforts have come to fruition and that they are taking this bold step to drive the industry forwards. This, together with IATA’s efforts, helps transform air cargo into a more digitalized and sustainable industry.

Are you ready to comply with these new rules and avoid slowing down your shipments or extra costs?
