Senior Product Operations Manager Frankfurt

Responsibilities:

  1. Product Operations
  • Monitor system/product performance and customer SLAs
  • Maintenance of the operational systems
  • Managing/monitoring system/product changes and enhancements
  • Monitor performance of suppliers (internal and external)
  • Support other departments where required
  1. System Management
  • Evaluate possible system enhancements and migrations
  • Co-operate with technology unit concerning operations infrastructure
  • Assess/Evaluate/introduce new developments
  • Prepare possible new developments and budget for direct report
  • Prepare decision papers for direct report
  1. Implementations (internal and external projects)
  • CCS, partners and customer connection support
  • System and Product Configurations
  • Clarification/support of non-standard requests
  • End to end project management for implementation of distribution services internally and externally
  • Define/monitor operations processes
  • Providing functional requirements for additional product developments and improvements
  • Internal and External product/sales support/consulting
  1. Technical Support
  • Support 1st level help desk /Expert support level for customer service
  • Handle escalated tickets
  • Analyze error situations and provide solutions or workarounds
  • Monitor planned/actual changes to minimize potential risks to operations
  • Perform training of colleagues and customers 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Good knowledge of communication protocols and networks
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Broad IT / Networking / EDI/ API knowledge
  • Fair knowledge of XML, JSON, IoT
  • Exposure to noSQL (eg. Cassandra, Kafka)
  • Strong project management skills (and particularly technical projects)
  • Self-motivated and proactive attitude
  • Customer-oriented mindset
  • Team player
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • General knowledge of the logistics, air freight and airline industry with their communication infrastructure is a strong asset
  • Fluency in English is a must (any additional language is a bonus)
  • No legal travel restrictions and available for short term travel when needed

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in operations management
  • Team lead experience of benefit
  • Experience in complex multinational/multicultural projects of benefit
