Development Team Lead

Reporting to the Engineering Manager

Location: Philippines

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve a thorough understanding of CHAMP products
  • Work closely with project managers/product owners, business analysts, technical support, and other software engineers involved with the development of CHAMP integrated solution or other application systems
  • Manage software engineers and ensure compliance with software engineering standards
  • Manage the skills and career development for the developers of the team
  • Partner with the team Scrum Master and Product Owner to provide technical oversight and leadership for the development team’s delivery
  • Perform multiple roles such as system analyst/designer, program coder, tester, and technical support as may be required in meeting the application development schedule and the overall project plan
  • Translate design specifications into program codes; adopt and adhere to the Company’s software engineering methodology and standard
  • Actively participate in regular business and technical discussions on project updates/in resolving technical issues
  • Perform the execution of unit tests and in the preparation of the project documentation
  • Assist in the execution of unit tests and in the preparation of project documentation

  • Participate in the planning and execution of systems migration activities
  • Provide off-site or on-site technical support on production systems


Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices and agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and guide a team through technical challenges and change

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree graduate
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in software development and team leadership
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Angular, and C++
  • Experience in legacy system maintenance and migration projects


The selected candidate may be subject to the provision of an up-to-date (not older than 3 months) criminal record certificate.
