A successful ONE Record early adoption use case
The challenge: Shipments are often accompanied by numerous paper documents, which are difficult to update efficiently. Printing these documents is not an optimal use of resources, and the added weight of paper on board can lead to increased fuel consumption.
The solution: ONE Record enables fully paperless cargo. Digitized documents are attached as binary objects such as PDFs or PNGs (called BLOBS) to Logistics Objects in ONE Record using external references. Documents are printed only when required. This promises tremendous efficiency gains in documentary acceptance, a reduced CO2 footprint, and optimized resource usage.
Why use the ONE Record pouch?
Enhanced visibility and transparency
Standardized document sharing means relevant shipping documents can be updated if required, and missing documents can be made available more easily.
Streamlined business processes
Readily available data allows for better optimization and automation of business processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual effort.
Cost reduction
Digitization reduces the need for manual paper handling, resulting in significant savings of both time and resources. Sustainability is enhanced, and fuel costs are lowered by reducing aircraft weight.
