A successful ONE Record early adoption use case
Cathay Cargo has taken a significant step forward in air cargo digitalization by implementing a groundbreaking ONE Record use case. By leveraging CHAMP's 1Neo-Connect platform, Cathay Cargo is now able to exchange information seamlessly with major ground handlers like WFS and Swissport, using the standardized ONE Record data-sharing model.

How shipment pre-advice from airlines to ground handlers has been optimized

Challenge at hand
A handler’s cargo system primarily receives booking information via the cargo IMP FBL message. These are sent close to flight departure and at a limited frequency, leading to a lack of full visibility and timely updates.

Leading the way
CHAMP has now introduced functionality that leverages IATA's ONE Record to immediately publish booking information from Cathay's “cargo management system (Cargospot) to the “cargo management system (Cargospot) of GHAs like Swissport and WFS.

Simplified
implementation
The use of CHAMP Cargosystems' 1Neo-Connect service ensures seamless integration and digitalized data exchange, making it easier for Cathay Cargo and its GHA partners to leverage real-time booking updates.

Benefits
realized
Enhanced functionality within Cathay Cargo's platform enables instant visibility of bookings for WFS and Swissport who will also receive real-time updates and cancellations, empowering them to make more informed and efficient decisions.
