We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team.
The role will report to the Interconnectivity & Network Manager.
Location: Taguig, Philippines
Responsibilities
- Resolving and troubleshooting network, connectivity, and messaging-related incidents.
- Able to resolve and defuse escalated issues and tickets.
- One of the primary resources for commercial and network project deployment.
- Executing and operating procedures within the scope of Interconnectivity & Networking.
- Providing continuous service improvement initiatives within the given responsibility area.
- Ensuring a daily support schedule within the given timeframe
- Traveling to provide service and support for our customers and internally, if necessary
Knowledge, skills, and abilities :
- Very good knowledge of firewall technology like Palo Alto, Checkpoint firewalls, Fortinet, CISCO ASA, and Sonicwall appliances.
- Experienced with Cisco Nexus technology, Cisco multi-layer switches, and routers.
- Good Knowledge of e-mail gateways(Ironport, Barracuda, etc), CISCO ASA, Palo Alto, Checkpoint firewalls, and Sonicwall appliances.
- Experienced in administering Layer 4-7 switches like Netscaler, F5, etc.
- Experienced in administering WAN accelerators like Silverpeak, Riverbed, etc.
- Experienced working with Amazon Web Services, Azure, or other cloud providers.
- Working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows environment.
- Working knowledge of DNS (Windows and Linux) and e-mail gateway like Cisco Ironport, Barracuda, etc.
- Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in software testing or QA, ideally with exposure to web applications.
- Exposure to security testing tools (SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanners).
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10, CWE/SANS Top 25).
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured) and performance/security testing frameworks.
- Interest in pursuing security certifications such as CPT (Certified Penetration Tester), OSWE (Offensive Security Web Expert), or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
The selected candidate may be subject to the provision of an up-to-date (not older than 3 months) criminal record certificate.
