Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer requirements and business processes to define functional specifications and solution designs.
- Own assigned business domains and modules, ensuring scalable, efficient, and well-documented solutions.
- Apply air cargo domain expertise to translate business needs into functional and integration requirements.
- Collaborate with customers, internal stakeholders, and development teams to gather, validate, and refine requirements.
- Create and maintain user stories, functional specifications, integration specifications, process workflows, UI designs, and supporting documentation.
- Facilitate functional workshops, requirement reviews, and solution discussions with customers and project stakeholders.
- Support backlog refinement activities by providing business analysis, effort clarification, and prioritization recommendations.
- Lead assigned product initiatives from requirements definition through implementation and go-live, working closely with development, QA, implementation, and support teams.
- Ensure functional and technical solutions are fully documented and approved by customers and stakeholders before development begins.
- Define test scenarios, support testing activities, and provide business acceptance for delivered functionality and defect resolutions.
- Analyze operational issues, perform root cause investigations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support customer implementations, migrations, training activities, and production readiness initiatives.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of analysis practices, documentation standards, and delivery processes.
- Balance customer requirements with product strategy, platform consistency, and long-term technical sustainability.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience in business analysis, functional design, and software delivery within enterprise application environments.
- Strong understanding of requirements gathering, process analysis, solution design, and documentation best practices.
- Ability to translate customer needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and integration specifications.
- Experience owning business domains or functional areas throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of air cargo business processes, including airline, GSA, GHA, forwarder, customs, security, and messaging operations.
- Knowledge of enterprise integrations, relational databases, APIs, and industry-standard messaging formats such as IATA Cargo-IMP and Cargo-XML.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including impact assessment, root cause analysis, and solution evaluation.
- Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with product, development, QA, implementation, and support teams.
- Experience using customer feedback, operational data, and business insights to support product improvements and delivery decisions.
- Awareness of security, compliance, data protection, and operational risk considerations within enterprise software environments.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Management
- Has sound experience in functional analysis and support of systems
- 5 to 7 years of experience working in the Air Cargo domain.
