On the ground floor: Evolving Cargospot with our community to embrace the future

With business and industry requirements evolving, such as ICS2 or the increased need for real-time information - CHAMP continues to collaborate with industry partners and its customer community to ensure that both its Traxon eCargo and Cargospot portfolios continue to meet and exceed the needs of tomorrow.

Twice a year, the Cargospot community convenes competency centers to share and discuss evolving business requirements and what further digitalization opportunities there are for: Cargospot Airline, Revenue Accounting, and Handling. More than 80 airlines and general sales agents (GSAs), and 30 ground handling agents are part of the community of Cargospot users, which ensures that collectively, we continue to drive progress in digitalizing our industry.

Last week, the Cargospot Handling Competency Center (CHCC) met in-person in Zurich, Switzerland, as well as virtually. Hosted by members of CHAMP’s Cargospot Handling team and joined by ground handling agents and airlines alike, the two-day event highlighted the latest developments and news for our customers.

CHAMP’s specialists were excited to be back on the ground floor and attendees were able to share their opinions, imminent challenges, and offer their suggestions on current and future features in Cargospot Handling, as well as Cargospot Mobile. This not only builds stronger solutions and innovations for the Cargospot portfolio but also provides a forum for attendees to gain collaborative information that keeps them at pace with the industry.

Delivering operational efficiency gains and business insights is key - whether it is new data requirements, improving workflows, or matching the needs of planned business growth – and we appreciate the valuable feedback from our clients.MicrosoftTeams-image (65)-1Relevant industry updates further enriched the Cargospot Handling Competency Center, which included:

  • ICS2 EU Customs regulations update scheduled to come into play in June 2023
  • Cargo iQ update, including discussion of the New Exception Handling Code Procedures, Care Protocols, and other changes due in early 2023
  • Digital acceleration insights and changes that affect the kinds of tools we use to meet new challenges. While the Internet of Things (IoT) is slowing down and the data that we process is shifting, there is also more focus on more proven technologies
  • How CHAMP’s open ecosystem utilizes APIs to accelerate digitalization With these APIs, our customers have limitless possibilities in unlocking their operational potential – without complex developments or implementations. Hosting these events is an integral part of supporting the growth of the air cargo industry. We thrive as a community by collaborating with others and coming together with our clients to listen to them as they share their real-life operational and commercial experiences. It is only in this way that we can fully embrace the future and move forward.
